Alinda to Acquire Polish Broadcast Towers Company Emitel

Investment funds managed by Alinda Capital Partners have agreed to acquire 100% of Emitel, the leading television and radio broadcast infrastructure provider in Poland.


Alinda is acquiring Emitel from Montagu Private Equity, Innova Capital, Value4Capital and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.


Emitel broadcasts television and radio signals nationwide under long-term contracts with television and radio channels, including the government-owned TV and radio channels. Emitel is the sole broadcaster of digital terrestrial television signals in Poland, and is leading the introduction of digital radio. The company owns 377 towers in Poland. Emitel is growing its telecom infrastructure business, utilising its attractive tower locations for mobile network operators’ equipment.
